REQUIREMENTS FOR F1 VISA TRANSFER
Students must meet certain requirements if they want to transfer to SCSU as an F1 visa holder. First, they must maintain valid F1 visa status, which includes being enrolled full-time and making satisfactory academic progress at their current school. The student must also not have violated immigration rules, such as unauthorized work or falling below the required course load.

F1 VISA TRANSFER PROCESS
- Make an Appointment with SCSU DSOSchedule a meeting with the Designated School Official (DSO) or School Director at SCSU to get familiar with the university and select your program of study.
- Pay the Application Fee and Submit DocumentsComplete your application by paying the application fee. You must also submit the required documents, including your academic records, bank statement, and other relevant paperwork.
- Receive Acceptance Letter
Once your application is approved, you will receive an acceptance letter from SCSU. Your current university has to sign to complete a transfer.
- Complete Your Tuition Payment at SCSU
After completing your SEVIS transfer, you must pay your tuition at SCSU to finalize your enrollment and continue your studies.

The English as a Second Language (ESL) certificate at SCSU helps students develop key language skills in grammar, reading, vocabulary, listening, speaking, and writing. This ESL program offers courses at Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels, with assessments at the end of each level to ensure students are ready for advancement and continued growth in their English proficiency.
